Mapping the ecosystem service provision of transportation infrastructure soils in an urban context

In the SEMEUR collaborative R&D project, Cassia® was used to map land use around transportation infrastructures. The fineness of the land use typology that could be mapped, allowed to produce maps of ecosystem services provided by urban soils at an unprecedented scale.

This mapping is then used to prioritize ecological restoration actions but also to evaluate the impact on the supply of ecosystem services of different urban development scenarios
